By registering for or using the Data Trust platform ("the Platform"), operated for Data Protection Officers ("DPOs") and the companies they manage ("Client Companies"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
The Platform lets independent DPOs manage data protection compliance services for multiple Client Companies from a single dashboard, including licensing tracking, compliance monitoring, data subject request handling, breach management, impact assessments, staff training and certification, record-keeping, policy management, audits, review scheduling, and a peer community space.
DPOs are responsible for the accuracy of information they enter and for the conduct of any Company Sub-Account they create. Sub-Account access is scoped to the data of the company it was created for. Credentials must not be shared outside their intended user.
Access to the Platform requires an active subscription once any applicable free trial period ends. Subscription pricing, trial length, and discount token terms are set by the Platform administrator and may change with notice. Discount tokens apply only as configured for that token (amount, recurrence, usage limits, validity window and scope) and may be withdrawn if used fraudulently.
The Platform is a tool to help DPOs carry out their duties; it does not itself act as a data controller or processor for the personal data a DPO or Client Company manages using the Platform, except to the extent described in our Privacy Policy regarding account and usage data. DPOs remain responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the compliance records, assessments and advice they create using the Platform.
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including attempting to access data you are not authorised to see, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or interfering with the Platform's normal operation.
The Platform's software, design and branding remain the property of its operator. Content you upload (policies, assessment data, training materials, community posts) remains yours; you grant the Platform a licence to host and display it as needed to provide the service.
Either party may terminate an account subject to any notice period in the applicable subscription plan. Upon termination, access is suspended; data export may be requested within a reasonable period before deletion.
The Platform is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform, including compliance decisions made using information stored on it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@biset.co.zw or via the contact form on the landing page.
